Product Description

With Access 2021 you can create and manage extensive databases. You insert the information or import it from Excel, XML, dBASE files or PDF documents, and Access takes care of the rest. For each project, you can assign access rights for other users. The tables can be prepared using queries such as sorting or filtering.

Windows 10 or 11 required

The PC version of Access 2021 can only be used with the Windows 10 and 11 operating systems. The previous versions are not supported. You also need internet access and a free Microsoft account.

If you upgrade from a previous Access version to Access 2021, you'll still have all the features you're used to, plus you'll notice a few new ones.

Use the Add Tables task pane, which stays open as you work, to add tables to relationships and queries.

Clearly see the active tab, easily drag tabs to rearrange them, and close database objects with just one click.

The updated Table Link Manager is a central place to view and manage all data sources and linked tables in an Access database. From time to time you may need to update, relink, search, edit or delete linked tables. This may be due to changes in the location of the data source, the table name or the table schema.

We have implemented the DateTime2 datatype in Access to improve syntax compatibility with SQL and increase the detail of records containing dates and times. The DateTime2 datatype includes a wider date range (01/01/0001 to 12/31/9999) with a higher specified time precision (nanoseconds instead of seconds).

The "Dark Grey" and "Black" designs are great for those who prefer a softer display of high-contrast visual elements.

Use the SQL View Find and Replace dialog box to find and replace text in an SQL statement, which is especially useful for long statements.

We have added new time saving options for table objects. In the query designer view, right-click to select Open, Design View or Resize.

Quickly resize tables to display additional fields and relationships, select a subset of tables and relationships, and scroll horizontally and vertically using the mouse wheel.

Based on your feedback, we have added a new input field for hexadecimal colour values in the Colours dialogue box. You no longer have to spend time converting hexadecimal colour values to RGB values.

For each property in Access where you define a colour, you can now enter a hexadecimal colour value in the Hex field, e.g. "#0F4C81" or "444".
